Josh Jones is an american artist residing in California,working with a variety of mediums. A lot of his work is exploration and imagination. Usually working with automatic drawing (automatism), as the surrealist would work, tapping into his subconscious, pulling out images from lines in sketches and shapes in paint.

He finds inspiration from other artists and music (mainly hip hop), in TV, life, quotes/things he hears people say, and sometimes the current state of the world. He has the ability to draw something he thinks will work as a painting and produce the painting from that. He is somewhat of a Seinfeld artist (art about nothing). He utilizes an illustration style but in a painterly fashion. Mood can also play a role in his painting and creation. He uses a variety of influences from past and present artists, and includes his love for hip hop music. He is constantly painting, drawing, and thinking. He plays with ideas and imagination and different materials to create his work. He lets his style run free in order to continue to grow and remain relevant. He is an artist to watch and explore, as each work can mean something different to each person that views it. He took the path of self exploration and self teaching which has lead to an exciting viewing experience and a genuine look into the thoughts and imagination of a true artist.
